The notice names the policy Amazon believes you breached. Reading it precisely is the job.

An appeal is only as good as what you can evidence, so the paperwork decides the path.
A rushed first appeal is the most common reason a recoverable suspension becomes a long one.
We will not submit an appeal we believe is dishonest — caught, it ends the account.
What a suspension actually means
Amazon suspends at three levels, and they are not equally serious. A listing suspension takes one ASIN off sale. A selling privileges suspension takes the whole account down and holds the funds. An account deactivation under Section 3 is the most serious and usually relates to policy violations rather than performance.
The notice tells you which one you have and which policy Amazon believes you breached. Reading it precisely is the whole job, because an appeal that addresses the wrong violation is worse than no appeal at all.
The first twenty-four hours
What not to do: do not fire off an immediate appeal. Do not open several cases about the same suspension. Do not argue with the decision or blame Amazon in writing. Do not create a second selling account — that turns a recoverable suspension into a permanent one.
- Identify the exact policy cited. Not the category — the specific clause.
- Preserve the evidence. Supplier invoices, purchase orders, authorisation letters, safety documentation, whatever the notice references.
- Stop the underlying cause. If it is an inventory or listing issue, fix it before you claim you have.
- Work out the financial exposure. Held funds, inbound stock, storage fees. It changes how aggressively you should pursue the fastest route.
How a Plan of Action is built
Amazon wants three things, in this order, with evidence:
- Root cause. What actually happened, stated plainly. Not “a misunderstanding”. Not “a supplier error” unless you can evidence it and explain why you did not catch it.
- Immediate corrective action. What you have already done — listings removed, stock quarantined, supplier changed — with dates.
- Preventive measures. The process change that stops recurrence, specific enough that a reviewer can picture it operating.
It should be short, factual and free of emotion. Most rejected appeals are rejected for defensiveness, vagueness, or answering a different question from the one asked.
Realistic timelines
We will give you a range after reading your notice, not before. As a general shape: listing-level issues are often resolved fastest; account-level suspensions typically take longer and frequently require more than one submission; anything requiring document verification runs to Amazon's own verification queue, which no agency can accelerate.
What we cannot promise
We cannot promise reinstatement, a timeline, or a particular outcome. The decision belongs to Amazon and to nobody else. We also will not submit an appeal we believe is dishonest, because a false Plan of Action that is caught ends the account permanently. If we read your notice and think reinstatement is unlikely, we will tell you that instead of taking the fee.
How an appeal is handled
Read the notice
We identify the exact policy cited, the suspension level, and what Amazon is actually asking for. Usually within one working day.
Assess honestly
Whether the appeal is winnable, what evidence exists, and what the realistic range looks like. If it is weak, you hear that first.
Fix the underlying cause
Listings, inventory, supplier documentation — whatever the notice points at, corrected before the appeal claims it has been.
Write the Plan of Action
Root cause, corrective action, preventive measures. Specific, evidenced, unemotional.
Submit and manage
Filed through the correct channel, tracked, and revised for resubmission if Amazon comes back with more questions.

Suspension and appeal questions
How long does an Amazon appeal take?
It varies by suspension type. Straightforward listing suspensions are often decided within a few days; account-level suspensions and those requiring documentation commonly take several weeks and more than one submission. Anyone quoting you a fixed number of days before reading the notice is guessing.
Can you guarantee my account will be reinstated?
No. Nobody can, and anyone who does is either lying or planning to blame you when it fails. The decision is Amazon's alone. What we can do is make sure the Plan of Action addresses the actual violation, contains the evidence Amazon asks for, and does not make things worse — which is where most self-written appeals fail.
What is a Plan of Action?
It is the document Amazon requires to reinstate you, and it has three parts: the root cause of the issue, the immediate corrective action you have taken, and the preventive measures that stop it recurring. It must be specific, evidenced and free of excuses. Amazon rejects vague or defensive appeals almost automatically.
What should I do in the first 24 hours?
Read the notice carefully and identify the exact policy cited. Do not submit an appeal immediately. Do not open multiple cases about the same issue. Gather invoices, supplier documents and any evidence the notice asks for. A rushed first appeal is the most common reason a recoverable suspension becomes a long one.
