Amazon PPC

Amazon PPC management services for growing brands

Sponsored Products, Brands and Display, structured around a target ACoS you agree before we spend anything. Management fee published, media spend paid straight to Amazon.

Who this is for

Built for brands already paying for Amazon clicks

SpendingLive Amazon Ads campaigns

Enough spend history that the search term report shows where the money is going.

Rising ACoSCosts up, sales flat

Several months of climbing ACoS against flat or falling sales is the signal to act.

ConvertingPaid traffic has somewhere to land

Advertising into a page that does not sell is the expensive mistake. If that is you, start with listing optimisation.

MarginRoom above break-even

A target ACoS is worked back from contribution margin, so there has to be one to work back from.

The problem

What’s going wrong with your PPC

Campaigns lack structureProducts, keywords and match types mixed together — making optimisation harder
Wasted spend goes uncheckedPoor search terms keep spending while negatives, bids and budgets are not optimised fast enough
ACoS rises while growth stallsAd spend increases, but sales and profitability do not grow at the same pace
Proof

The advertising engagement, in the client’s words

Every engagement published on this site names the client, the months it ran and what they reported, with a link to their own review. One of the ten is an advertising engagement. This is it.

CEMBLOC

Wasted ad spend cut

Campaigns reorganised, and the listings rewritten around the same keyword set rather than a separate one. The client reported more stable keyword positioning, more consistent click-through and reduced wasted ad spend.

Why there is only one

Most agencies would fill this space. We publish an engagement only once the client has said publicly what happened — ten so far, of which one is advertising. The rest are SEO, listings and reviews, and putting those on a PPC page would read as an advertising result when they are not.

If you want to know whether we can run your ad account, the free audit will tell you more than a wall of percentages would.

Coverage

What an Amazon advertising agency manages

Three ad types and the hygiene work that keeps all three honest.

  1. Point 1. Sponsored Products

    The workhorse

Automatic and manual campaigns, keyword and ASIN targeting, defensive and conquest placements.

  2. Point 2. Sponsored Brands

    Headline and video

Headline and video placements for brand-registered sellers, including traffic to your Store.

  3. Point 3. Sponsored Display

    Retargeting

Retargeting and competitor-page placements, used selectively rather than by default.

  4. Point 4. Search term hygiene

    Negatives

The unglamorous work that stops budget leaking into terms that never convert.

Campaign structure

How we structure campaigns

Most inherited accounts have the same problem: one campaign doing five jobs, so you cannot tell what is working. We separate by intent, because that is the only way a bid decision means anything.

01

Discovery

Automatic and broad campaigns whose job is to find terms, on a controlled budget.

  • Automatic and broad match, doing one job
  • Budget kept under control while it searches
  • Its output is the term list everything else runs on

Example view — illustrative figures, not a live account.

02

Performance

Exact-match campaigns for terms that have proven they convert, bid to your target.

  • Exact match only
  • Terms that have already proven they convert
  • Bid to the target agreed in your scope, not a benchmark

Example view — illustrative figures, not a live account.

03

Brand defence

Your own brand terms, kept separate so they do not flatter the blended ACoS.

  • Your own brand terms, in campaigns of their own
  • Held out of the blended number
  • Reported as its own line

Example view — illustrative figures, not a live account.

04

Competitor and category

ASIN and category targeting, measured on its own terms because it will always run higher.

  • ASIN and category targeting
  • Judged on its own line, not against the blended number
  • Expected to run higher, and read that way

Example view — illustrative figures, not a live account.

Why brand defence is separated: brand terms convert at three to five times the rate of everything else, at a fraction of the cost. Leaving them in the blended number makes a struggling account look healthy. Separating them is often the single change that reveals what is really happening.

How we set a target ACoS and manage TACoS

We start from your numbers, not a benchmark. Selling price, Amazon referral fee, FBA fulfilment fee, VAT treatment and landed cost give a contribution margin. That margin is your break-even ACoS. The target we agree sits below it by whatever margin you want to keep, and it is written into the scope.

What we will not do: promise a specific ACoS before seeing the account, bid on trademarked competitor brand terms where that breaches policy, or spend a media budget through our own account so the invoice is opaque. Your spend goes to Amazon from your account, always.

Amazon advertising management reporting

One report a month: spend, sales, ACoS and TACoS against the agreed target, broken out by campaign type; what changed in the account and why; and what we are doing next. Plus the raw search term data, because it is your account and your data.

90-day roadmap

Your first ninety days with us

Structure comes before spend. Campaigns that cannot be judged separately cannot be cut, so everything after the first month depends on that.

Days 1–30

1Audit and restructure

  • Account and break-even audit
  • Wasted spend and search term leakage
  • Campaigns split by intent
  • Target ACoS agreed in writing
Days 31–60

2Run and prune

  • Bid adjustments weekly
  • Negative keywords added
  • Placement modifiers set
  • Budget shifted to what converts
Days 61–90

3Scale what pays

  • Proven exact-match terms scaled
  • Placements that hold target expanded
  • Brand defence measured on its own
  • First comparable month-on-month report
Month 4 onwardsPrune → scale → compound

Advertising that feeds organic rank gets cheaper to run. The first quarter is what buys the second one its head start.

Spending more than $30,000 a month?

$30,000 to $60,000 a month in ad spend$2,499/ monthUp to 15 parent ASINs
Above $60,000 a month in ad spendCustom quoteScoped to the account
  • Advertising spend is paid directly to Amazon from your own account and is never marked up.
  • Amazon DSP and creative production are not included.
  • An account over either limit, ad spend or parent ASINs, needs a revised scope. Any change of plan is agreed with you in writing before it is billed.
  • Already on the Growth or Scale retainer? PPC is part of it, so you do not also pay the full PPC-only fee.
  • Prices are in US dollars. UK clients get their GBP figure in the written scope.

Applies to every plan

Parent ASINs
Plans count parent products, and each parent includes up to five straightforward child variations. Larger or substantially different variation sets need a quote.
Monthly terms
A 90-day initial engagement, then month to month with 30 days’ notice.
No double billing
Keyword research, SEO or review setup already bundled into your plan is never charged again as standalone work.
Not included
Ad spend, Amazon fees, taxes, photography, video, translation and specialist third-party costs.
Agreed workload
Work follows an onboarding schedule agreed with you. Covering an ASIN means we look after it, not that every listing is rebuilt every month.

Process

How a PPC engagement starts

The ninety-day plan above is the work. This is how you get to it.

  1. Step 1. Free PPC audit

You send the account. We read the search term report and write up where the spend is going and what it is buying.

  2. Step 2. Strategy call

Thirty minutes on what is leaking, and on the margin maths that sets your real break-even.

  3. Step 3. Scope and proposal

The ACoS target, the monthly budget and the tier, priced from the published rates. Media spend stays in your own account.

  4. Step 4. Structure, then spend

Campaigns split by intent before a single bid changes — what cannot be judged separately cannot be cut.

FAQ

Amazon PPC questions

What is a good ACoS on Amazon?

There is no universal figure — a good ACoS is one below your break-even, which is set by your margin after Amazon fees, VAT and landed cost. A brand on 45% margin can profitably run 30% ACoS; a brand on 20% margin cannot. We calculate your break-even first and set the target from that.

Is the management fee separate from ad spend?

Yes. The management fee is what you pay us and it is published on the pricing page. Advertising spend goes to Amazon directly from your own account — it never passes through us and is never marked up. You keep full visibility of both numbers.

Do you guarantee a particular ACoS?

No. ACoS depends on your price, your conversion rate, your competitors' bids and Amazon's auction, none of which we control. We agree a target in advance, report against it every month, and tell you plainly when the target is unrealistic for the category rather than quietly missing it.

How long before advertising performance settles?

Campaign restructuring shows movement within two to three weeks, but the honest answer is one full sales cycle — commonly sixty to ninety days — before the picture is stable. Anything faster is usually a bid cut that lowers spend and sales together, which flatters ACoS without helping the business.
