The client

Who CEMBLOC are

CEMBLOC is an England-based manufacturer in the cement and building products sector, with 501 to 1,000 staff, selling on Amazon alongside its trade channels.

The work itself is our PPC management service — the same listings-first restructure, priced exactly as it is on our pricing page. The free audit came first here, as it does on every engagement.

The objective

What CEMBLOC needed

Improve listing visibility, strengthen keyword positioning and reduce wasted ad spend.

What we delivered against it: Listings reviewed for title structure, keyword targeting, descriptions and backend terms; PPC campaigns reorganised.

The approach

How the work was done

The order was set by the problem: listings first, so the campaigns were not paying to send trade buyers to pages that could not answer them.

01

Read the account before touching a bid

Search term reports, campaign structure, match types and placement data, read against what the listings can actually convert.

  • Wasted spend identified by search term, not by guesswork
  • Structure mapped against intent rather than product hierarchy
  • Break-even ACoS calculated from real margin after fees and VAT
02

Rebuild the structure

Campaigns reorganised so discovery, performance, brand defence and competitor targeting each have their own budget and their own job.

  • Discovery separated from performance so learning is not paid for twice
  • Negatives worked as a routine, not an emergency
  • Bids set against an agreed target, not a category benchmark
03

Fix what the ads are pointing at

Advertising into a listing that does not convert is the expensive version of the same mistake, so the listing work runs alongside the campaign work.

  • Title, bullets and backend terms aligned with the terms being bid on
  • Images and A+ Content checked against the promise the ad makes
  • Keyword positioning strengthened so paid and organic pull together
04

Report on what changed

Spend, ACoS, TACoS and keyword position, reported so the effect of each change is visible rather than inferred.

  • Weekly negative and bid maintenance
  • Monthly reporting against the agreed target
  • Long-term keyword movement tracked, not just this month's numbers

On project management: Communicated clearly throughout, updated consistently and stayed responsive.

What stood out: A practical understanding of Amazon SEO and listing structure, organised and results-focused.

What could have been better: Additional reporting summaries covering long-term keyword movement would have been useful — a fair point, and one we now build into reporting on advertising work.

Selling building products to a trade audience

Cement and building products behave differently from consumer goods in search. The buyer often knows the exact specification, types it, and is not browsing; a broad-match campaign in that world catches an enormous amount of near-miss traffic that will never convert, because the wrong grade of product is simply the wrong product. That is where the wasted spend was coming from, and why restructuring the campaigns mattered more than adjusting bids on the existing ones.

Running alongside trade channels adds the other constraint. Amazon is not the only route to the same customer, so the account has to earn its place rather than be defended at any cost, and the reporting has to be legible to people whose main business is elsewhere. Tightening keyword targeting on the listings first meant the campaigns were advertising pages that could actually convert the traffic they bought — doing it the other way round is how accounts end up paying to send qualified clicks to a page that does not answer them.

FAQ

Questions about this engagement

Is this result verified?

Yes. The outcome, the dates and the ratings on this page all come from CEMBLOC's own review on our Clutch profile, which Clutch verifies with the reviewer directly. We have not added figures of our own to it.

Why are there no keyword or traffic graphs?

Because CEMBLOC's published review describes the change in spend and positioning rather than quoting the account data, and we are not going to publish figures on their behalf. The review is the record.

How long did it take, and what did it cost?

The engagement ran Jan – May 2026. Clutch publishes the project size as $10,000 – $49,999. Our own retainers are published in full, from $999 a month.

Would this work for my account?

If your advertising is catching a lot of near-miss traffic on specification-led products, very likely. The free audit reads your search terms and tells you how much of the spend is going to the wrong grade of buyer.

Can I talk to someone about my own account?

Yes. Book 30 minutes with the person who would restructure the campaigns. There is no pitch deck, and our prices are already public.
