The client

Who Magic Under are

Magic Under is a French gourmet mushroom producer with a team of one to ten, selling a consumer product range on Amazon.

The work itself is our Amazon SEO service — the same research-led rewrite, priced exactly as it is on our pricing page. The free audit came first here, as it does on every engagement.

The objective

What Magic Under needed

Improve Amazon listing performance and organic visibility.

What we delivered against it: Keyword research and competitor analysis, then titles, bullets, descriptions and backend terms rewritten.

The approach

How the work was done

The order here followed the vocabulary problem: find which way buyers name the product, then decide which field each name belongs in.

01

Audit and keyword foundation

Gourmet mushrooms are named four different ways by four different buyers — culinary, Latin, by form, and by the dish someone arrived to cook. The research mapped which of those registers were already contested and which were open.

  • Competitor listings read for which vocabulary each one owned
  • Culinary, botanical and use-case terms collected as separate sets
  • Terms matched to products so a small range covered several registers
02

SEO across the listings

With a team of a few people the listings have to keep working without weekly attention, so the priority was terms that hold rather than terms that spike.

  • Titles and bullets rewritten around the highest-intent register
  • Backend fields loaded with the alternative names and spellings
  • Indexation confirmed for each register rather than the main one only
03

Conversion, not just position

Speciality food is bought on trust in the producer as much as the product, so the page had to carry provenance early.

  • Origin and production detail placed in the first screen
  • Preparation and use answered on the page, where the question is asked
  • Images ordered to show form and scale, which text cannot settle
04

Reporting and iteration

A small producer needs to see whether positions are stable, not a dashboard. Reporting was cut to the question that mattered.

  • Target term positions tracked over time rather than snapshot
  • Movement reported with the change that preceded it
  • Adjustments kept small enough to attribute

On project management: Run in a straightforward, organised way, with deadlines respected.

What stood out: Treating Amazon SEO as an ongoing process rather than a one-off task, and keeping the approach research-backed.

What could have been better: Nothing raised.

A speciality food product with a search problem

Gourmet mushrooms are a category where buyers use several completely different vocabularies for the same thing — the culinary name, the Latin one, the form it comes in, and the use case someone arrived with. A listing written in one of those registers is invisible to the other three, and for a small French producer selling into a consumer market that is most of the available traffic gone before the page has been seen.

Competitor analysis did more work here than it usually does, not to copy anyone but to map which of those vocabularies were already well covered and which were sitting open. The rewrite then put the highest-intent terms where they are read and the variants where they are indexed. A small team also means the page has to keep working without weekly attention, so the priority was terms that hold position rather than ones that spike, which is the outcome the client went on to report.

FAQ

Questions about this engagement

Is this result verified?

Yes. The outcome, the dates and the ratings on this page all come from Magic Under's own review on our Clutch profile, which Clutch verifies with the reviewer directly. We have not added figures of our own to it.

Why are there no keyword or traffic graphs?

Because Magic Under's published review describes positions holding rather than quoting them, and we will not put numbers on a small producer's page that they did not publish themselves.

How long did it take, and what did it cost?

The engagement ran Dec 2025 – May 2026. Clutch publishes the project size as $10,000 – $49,999. Our own retainers are published in full, from $999 a month.

Would this work for my account?

If buyers call your product by several different names, this is directly relevant. The free audit shows which of those names your listings currently cover.

Can I talk to someone about my own account?

Yes. Book 30 minutes with the person who would research and rewrite the listings. No deck, and prices are public.
