The client

Who Seeds Wild are

Seeds Wild is an Indiana seed retailer with a team of one to ten, with a catalogue large enough that customer questions were repeating across listings.

The work itself is our review management service, applied here to a large catalogue of similar products and priced exactly as it is on our pricing page. The free audit came first here, as it does on every engagement.

The objective

What Seeds Wild needed

Understand customer concerns, improve listing presentation and establish a review management process.

What we delivered against it: Listings and feedback reviewed, recurring themes identified, descriptions and FAQs improved, and a monitoring process set up.

The approach

How the work was done

The sequence started with reading, not writing: the feedback had to be grouped before it was obvious which pages were generating the questions.

01

Group the questions before answering any

The questions arriving were about germination, timing and growing conditions — the things a seed packet cannot say enough about. Grouped, they pointed straight at the listings generating them.

  • Feedback and questions grouped by theme across the catalogue
  • Repeating questions traced back to the pages that prompted them
  • Seasonal patterns separated from genuine product issues
02

Fix the pages, not the replies

Most of the fix was editorial. A question answered in the description stops being a message, and on a catalogue this size that difference compounds every season.

  • Descriptions rewritten to answer the recurring questions directly
  • FAQs added where the doubt was actually arising
  • Wording made consistent across similar products
03

Watch for the drift each season

A large, similar-looking catalogue drifts. Monitoring was set up to catch the same pattern reappearing rather than to chase individual reviews.

  • Monitoring on a fixed rhythm through the growing season
  • New themes flagged as they emerge, not at year end
  • Answers written for the next buyer reading the page
04

Hand over a routine the team can repeat

The process is the part that lasts, because the catalogue keeps growing and the drift returns unless somebody is watching for it.

  • Themes reported alongside volume
  • Listing changes logged against the questions they answered
  • Written handover so the team runs it each season

Emma SuireFounder, Seeds Wild — Dublin, Indiana, USA

On project management: Well organised from beginning to end, with regular check-ins and prompt responses.

What stood out: Treating customer reviews as a source of product insight rather than only a performance metric.

What could have been better: A reporting template showing review trends over longer periods would have been useful.

When the same question keeps arriving

A seed catalogue is large, the products look similar to anyone who is not a gardener, and the questions that arrive are about germination, timing and growing conditions — the things a packet cannot say enough about. Seeds Wild were answering the same handful of questions over and over across different listings, which is a customer service cost and, more expensively, a signal that the pages were not doing their job.

Reading the feedback as a body of text rather than case by case is what surfaced the pattern. Once recurring themes were visible, the fix was largely editorial: put the answers in the descriptions and the FAQs where the question is being asked, so the page resolves the doubt instead of generating a message. The monitoring process that came out of it is the part that lasts, because a catalogue like this keeps growing and the same drift reappears every season unless somebody is watching for it.

FAQ

Questions about this engagement

Is this result verified?

Yes. The outcome, the dates and the ratings on this page all come from Seeds Wild's own review on our Clutch profile, which Clutch verifies with the reviewer directly. We have not added figures of our own to it.

Why are there no keyword or traffic graphs?

Because Seeds Wild's review describes fewer repeated questions and a clearer process in words, and their customer data is theirs to publish.

How long did it take, and what did it cost?

The engagement ran Jan – Jul 2026. Clutch publishes the project size as $10,000 – $49,999. Our own retainers are published in full, from $999 a month.

Would this work for my account?

If you are answering the same buyer questions across several listings, yes — that was exactly the problem. The audit shows which pages are generating them.

Can I talk to someone about my own account?

Yes. A 30-minute call with the person who would read your feedback. No deck, and the prices are on the site.
